Description

Cauliflower pizza crust offers a healthier alternative to traditional pizza crust, as it’s low in carbs and gluten-free. It’s a delicious way to enjoy pizza while incorporating more vegetables into your diet.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 medium head of cauliflower
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • Pizza toppings of your choice (e.g., sauce, cheese, vegetables, meats)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cut the cauliflower into florets and pulse in a food processor until it resembles fine crumbs.
  3. Microwave the cauliflower crumbs in a microwave-safe bowl for 4-5 minutes, or until softened.
  4. Let the cauliflower cool slightly, then transfer it to a clean kitchen towel and wring out as much moisture as possible.
  5. In a mixing bowl, combine the cauliflower with Parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese, oregano, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and beaten egg. Mix until well combined.
  6. Transfer the cauliflower mixture onto the prepared baking sheet and shape it into a round crust, about 1/4 inch thick.
  7. Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and firm.
  8. Remove the crust from the oven and add your desired pizza toppings.
  9. Return the pizza to the oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  10. Slice and serve hot. Enjoy your cauliflower pizza!

Notes

  • Be sure to squeeze out as much moisture from the cauliflower as possible to prevent a soggy crust.
  • Customize your pizza with your favorite toppings such as tomato sauce, cheese, vegetables, and meats.
  • This cauliflower pizza crust is also great for those following a low-carb or gluten-free diet.
