Ingredients

  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 2 stalks celery, diced
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 Tablespoon Cajun Seasoning
  • 1 1/2 cups long grain rice
  • 3 1/2 cups beef broth
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, cook and crumble the ground beef over medium heat until no longer pink.
  2. Add in the diced onion, bell pepper, celery, minced garlic, and Cajun seasoning. Cook until vegetables start to soften.
  3. Stir in the rice and beef broth. Bring to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat to low, cover, and let simmer for 20 minutes or until rice is tender, stirring occasionally.
  5. Once the rice is cooked, fluff it with a fork.
  6. Season with salt to taste.
