This Seafood Boil Sauce, a delectable garlic and butter dip, is the ultimate accompaniment to any seafood feast. Rich, aromatic, and effortlessly elegant, it combines the luxurious taste of melted butter with the robust flavor of garlic, accented by a squeeze of fresh lemon and a sprinkle of herbs. Perfect for dipping or drizzling over your favorite seafood, it’s a simple yet sophisticated addition that enhances the natural flavors of the sea.

Ingredients

Scale

3 stick unsalted butter
3 tbsp Garlic minced
1/4 cup Onion finely diced
1/2 tbsp ginger minced
2 tbsp Old bay seasoning
1 tbsp Oregano
1/2 tbsp Paprika
1/2 tbsp Chili powder
1 tsp Black pepper
1 tsp red pepper flakes
1/2 sliced of lemon juice
1/2 cup Chicken broth
1 1/2 tbsp Brown sugar

Instructions

Melt the butter in a medium skillet over medium heat. Once melted, add the garlic, onion, ginger and cook 2-3 minutes or until fragrant.
Add the old bay, brown sugar, paprika, pepper flakes, chili powder, and oregano. Allow to cook for 3-4 minutes.
Add the chicken broth and bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Then reduce the heat, and simmer for 20 minutes.
Remove from the heat and stir in the lemon juice. Season with salt and pepper, to taste.
Pour the sauce over your favorite seafood boil or serve it as a dipping sauce.

Notes

  • For best results, use fresh garlic as it provides a more potent flavor than pre-minced or powdered versions.
  • Adjust the amount of red pepper flakes to suit your heat preference.
  • This sauce is best served immediately but can be gently reheated if made in advance.
