- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- Vegetable oil, for frying
- 1/2 cup sugar (for coating)
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon (for coating)
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine water, sugar, salt, and 2 tbsp vegetable oil. Bring to a boil, then remove from heat. Stir in flour until the mixture forms a ball.
- Heat oil in a deep skillet or pot to 375°F (190°C).
- Spoon dough into a piping bag fitted with a large star tip.
- Pipe 4-inch strips of dough into the hot oil. Fry until golden, about 2 minutes per side, then remove and drain on paper towels.
- Mix sugar and cinnamon in a separate bowl, then roll churros in the mixture to coat.

- Serve churros warm with a dipping sauce like chocolate or caramel.
