Ingredients
Ingredients:
– 50g Fresh parsley
– 1 head of garlic
– 1/2 red onion
– 1 tbsp dried oregano
– 1 tbsp paprika
– 1/2 tbsp chili flakes (adjust to taste)
– 1/2 tbsp salt
– Juice of 4 lemons
– 200ml olive oil
Instructions
Finely chop the fresh parsley, garlic, and red onion. You can use a food processor or chop them by hand for a chunkier texture.
In a bowl, combine the chopped parsley, garlic, red onion, dried oregano, paprika, chili flakes, and salt.
Squeeze the juice of 4 lemons into the bowl with the other ingredients.
Slowly pour in the olive oil while whisking or stirring continuously to emulsify the ingredients.
Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed. Add more chili flakes for extra heat or more salt for added flavor.
Let the chimichurri sauce sit for at least 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
Serve the homemade chimichurri sauce as a marinade, dipping sauce, or drizzle it over grilled meats, vegetables, or sandwiches for a burst of flavor. Enjoy!
Serving Suggestion: Chimichurri sauce is a versatile condiment that pairs well with grilled steak, chicken, seafood, roasted vegetables, or even as a dressing for salads.
Enjoy your homemade chimichurri sauce!
