Ingredients

¼ cup salt
2 tablespoons paprika
2 tablespoons onion powder or granulated onion
2 tablespoons garlic powder or granulated garlic
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon dry mustard or mustard powder
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Instructions

Combine all ingredients in a small bowl or mason jar.
Store in an airtight container in the pantry for up to 6 months.
Notes:
To make seasoned fries, toss 1 pound of french fries with 1 tablespoon seasoning. Adjust according to taste.
For lightly salted fries, start with 2 teaspoons of seasoning per pound of fries.
When seasoning fries for the oven or air fryer, spray fries with cooking spray first, then toss with seasoning.
When making fries in a deep fryer, fry potatoes first, then toss with seasoning.
For a spicy fry seasoning, increase cayenne pepper to 1 tablespoon.
Omit cayenne pepper for a seasoning with no spice.
This recipe is naturally gluten-free.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of cayenne pepper based on your desired spice level or omit it for a milder flavor.
  • This seasoning can also be used on other dishes such as roasted vegetables, popcorn, or grilled meats.
