Ingredients
3 ripe bananas, mashed
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 cup sour cream (optional, for extra richness)
1/2 cup chopped walnuts or chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C). Grease a 9Γ5 inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
2. In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
3. Add the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar to the mashed bananas. Stir until combined.
4. Beat in the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing well.
5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
7. Fold in the sour cream (if using), and optionally, add chopped walnuts or chocolate chips.
8. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
9. Bake for 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
