- 8 oz. elbow macaroni
- 6 strips bacon
- 2 tbsp. butter
- 2 tbsp. all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup heavy cream

- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
- 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
Instructions
- Cook the macaroni according to package instructions, and drain.
- Cook the bacon until crispy, and crumble.
- In a separate pot, melt butter over medium heat.
- Add flour, and cook for a minute.
- Add the milk, heavy cream, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper, and cook until the sauce thickens.
- Add the shredded cheddar cheese and cooked macaroni, and stir until the cheese is melted.
- Add the cooked bacon, and serve.
Notes
- For added flavor, try using smoked cheddar cheese or adding a dash of paprika.
- Feel free to customize with your favorite cheeses or additional toppings like breadcrumbs.
